The solar installation went very well. It was nice not to worry about details of the project as that was done by Olson’s team.
GRID-TIED SYSTEM
- This is our most cost-effective system.
- Never worry about running out of energy, because you still have the power grid available to you.
- If you create extra energy, you can sell that energy back to the energy company.
- If the grid loses power, then you will also be out of power.
OFF THE GRID SYSTEM
- Solar energy is stored in batteries for future use.
- If the local power grid loses power, you will still have energy.
- If you create more energy than you use, that energy is lost.
- You must have a large enough system to supply all of your own energy.
HYBRID SYSTEM
When you install battery storage along with your solar panel system, you can store excess solar electricity produced by your panels for use when your panels aren’t producing power. Aside from saving money on your electric bill, solar batteries can provide back-up power in the case of a grid blackout. If the power goes out and you have solar electricity stored in a home battery, you can power your home for a period of time using the electricity you generated with your solar panels.
- Best of both systems.
- This system has a battery back up in case of power grid blackout.
- Never worry about running out of energy because you still have the power grid energy to use.
- If you create extra energy, you can sell that energy back to the energy company.
- Power is stored in the batteries for future use.
